The colours and lines in the mosaic and stain glass window art have always appealed to me. I really like the bold contrast from dark black outlines to vibrant inner colours. This has been part of my aesthetics for quite a long time. I think its very vibrant and exciting and enhances my illustrations especially if they contain text. I also like the combination of that historical art theme with modern day conceptual facts and figures about current issues.
